Billing, canceling and your data
What it costs, how to leave, and what you can take with you. This page says what the product does today in plain words. The Billing Policy and the Privacy Policy are the full terms.
Free needs no card
Free costs $0 and never asks for a payment method. A card is only asked for when you start Pro, in Stripe Checkout.
Pro is $9 a month
Pro is $9/month in USD, billed monthly, or $90/year in USD, billed yearly (2 months free). You choose at checkout, the 7-day trial is the same on both, and Pro renews at the interval you chose until you cancel.
The 7-day trial and its reminder
First-time accounts can start Pro with a 7-day trial. You are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends. If you do not cancel, Pro renews at $9/month and your card is charged.
We may send a reminder before the trial ends, for example 24 hours before the first charge. A reminder is a courtesy, not a promise, so note the end date yourself and cancel in the billing portal if you do not want to continue.
Deleting an account and registering again does not start a second trial.
Cancel any time
Open Settings, then Billing, then Manage billing. That opens Stripe’s billing portal, where you can cancel or update your card.
After a charge, Pro stays until the end of the period you paid for, then your workspace moves to Free. Canceling stops future renewals. It does not refund a charge that already went through.
Refunds are reviewed case by case
There are no automatic refunds once a charge has gone through. We review each request on its own: a duplicate charge, a billing error, an accidental second subscription, or a technical problem that stopped you using paid features.
To ask, open a ticket in the Support Centre and say which charge. An approved refund goes back to the original payment method.
If you go back to Free
Pro-only features stop being available, such as password links, one-time links, longer expiry, and the Pro QR logo options. Your custom domain keeps routing for 14 days after Pro ends, and Settings shows the date it stops. After that it stops routing until you resubscribe, and resubscribing turns it back on. Free allows 25 active short links, 25 Vault bookmarks, and one published Bio page.
If you had more than one live Bio page, the one you edited most recently stays live and the others are paused, not deleted. You can export or delete them yourself. The Billing Policy lists everything that changes.
Custom domains stay yours
You register a custom domain with any registrar you like and you keep full ownership of it. DexURL never registers, buys, holds, or transfers your domain. You add the DNS records DexURL shows you, and you can remove the domain from DexURL at any time.
Take your data with you
Bio pages: every page has an Export action, on every plan. JSON includes the whole page: title, tagline, theme, links, social buttons, whether it is published, and any saved draft. CSV lists one row per link and header, in page order.
Vault: export a browser-compatible bookmarks file on every plan, or an encrypted backup. CSV export is part of Pro.
Short links: the Links page has Export CSV and Import CSV, on every plan. Export lists every short link in your workspace, one row per link: slug, short URL, destination, title, created date, status, expiry date, and whether a password is set. The file never contains the password itself. Links you have deleted are not in it.
Import reads that same file back. It needs a destination_url column and takes slug, title, and expiry date when they are there. It shows every row checked before it creates anything, up to 500 links and 1 MB a file, and Free still stops at its active-link limit. Choosing your own slug is part of Pro, so on Free each row gets a new generated address and the preview says so. It never imports a password, and a slug someone already has is skipped, so importing your own export again does not create duplicates.
Delete your account any time
Settings, then Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your workspace, links, Bio pages, Vault bookmarks, custom domains, and sign-in identity. Your public links stop working as soon as deletion starts. Their short-link addresses are retired for good, kept only as an unreadable fingerprint, so nobody can take over a printed QR code; your Bio handles are held the same way for 90 days.
An active or trialing Pro subscription is canceled, without an automatic refund. Read the Privacy Policy for what we keep and why.
Renamed and deleted Bio handles
When you change a Bio page’s handle, the old link and its QR codes keep working for 90 days, then stop. Reprint QR codes that use the old link. For those 90 days nobody else can take the old handle, and you can rename back. A page can be renamed 5 times in 24 hours.
When you delete a Bio page, its handle and any old handles stay reserved for your workspace for 90 days. You can use them again in a new page at any time; nobody else can until the 90 days are up. A deleted short link’s address is never given to anyone else.
Real people answer support
Support tickets are answered by the people who run DexURL, inside the Support Centre. It is written messaging, not live chat, so expect a considered reply rather than an instant one. Tickets from Pro accounts are answered first.
