What DexURL logs — and what we do not sell
DexURL is a privacy-friendly link toolkit, not an anonymity product. This page states what we store to run short links, QR, Bio, Vault, billing, and abuse response. It is not a substitute for the Privacy Policy.
What we log
Account identity
Sign-in email and provider id (Google or email magic link through Clerk) so we can attach your workspace, billing, and support cases.
Links, QR, Bio, and Vault you create
Destinations, slugs, rules, Bio page content, QR style settings, custom-domain hostnames, and Vault bookmark titles, URLs, folders, tags, and pins. Live Vault is account-backed, not end-to-end encrypted.
Limited redirect metrics
Click totals and, on Pro, rolled-up devices, countries, referrers, and trends used for your dashboard and abuse response. We aim to avoid unnecessary visitor data retention.
Abuse and support
Abuse reports (reported URL, optional comments, Turnstile pass/fail when enabled) and in-app support tickets. Turnstile tokens are verified, not stored raw.
Billing sync
Stripe customer id when present, plan tier, and subscription status. DexURL does not store full card numbers.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data to advertising brokers
DexURL does not run an ads network on redirects or QR scans, and it does not currently use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not insert ads before your destination
Free and Pro redirects stay on your link path. Some pages may show a small DexURL brand mark. Required safety warnings for suspicious links stay on for every plan.
We do not claim untraceable secrets or Vault end-to-end encryption
Optional .dexvault backups are password-encrypted in your browser. DexURL cannot recover a lost backup password. Chrome and Safari cannot open those files.
Processors we use to run the product
Clerk
Passwordless sign-in (Google or email magic link). DexURL stores the identity id and email needed to operate the workspace.
Stripe
Checkout, Customer Portal, and subscription status for Pro.
Cloudflare
Hosting, delivery, and optional Turnstile bot checks on public forms.
