Bio page + printable QR in one login
· DexURL Guides · 4 min read
You can run both from one DexURL workspace: publish a public @handle bio page, create a short link for the same campaign, and download its QR. Editing the destination later does not change the printed QR pattern.
Many creators keep a bio page in one product and a short link or QR in another. That means two logins, two upgrade prompts, and a QR that may not match the bio destination after a campaign changes.
DexURL keeps both in one workspace. Publish a public @handle page for portfolio, booking, store, and social links. Create a short link for the same campaign and download a high-res PNG or SVG. Change the destination later without reprinting the merch insert, poster, or sticker.
This is not an affiliate-attribution product and it does not insert ads before the destination. Free can edit destinations anytime. Free expiry can be set up to 24 hours; Pro adds longer expiry windows, one custom domain, and unlimited Vault for $9/month.
Why two tools becomes a problem
The failure is not the second subscription, it is the drift. Your bio page points at this month’s launch. The QR on the merch insert points at last month’s. Nothing breaks loudly, so nobody notices until a customer scans a sticker and lands somewhere that no longer makes sense.
Keeping both in one workspace means the campaign has one place to change. It also means one set of limits to reason about instead of two upgrade prompts arriving on different schedules.
A practical first pass
- Publish the bio page and put your single most important action at the top. Visitors decide in seconds, and a long list costs you the click you actually wanted.
- Create a short link for the campaign the printed piece will advertise, and download its QR as SVG so the printer can scale it cleanly.
- Scan the printed proof with a real phone, under the lighting it will live in. A code that scans on your monitor is not evidence.
- Edit the destination once and scan again. That is the step that proves the loop works, and it is the one people skip.
What this is not
DexURL is not an affiliate-attribution product and does not insert an ad or an interstitial before your destination. If your business depends on commission tracking across merchant programs, this is the wrong tool and you should say so to yourself early rather than a month in.
Setup steps and plan limits for the page itself live in Bio and link pages, and the QR formats are in QR and link boards.
